District Kamber-Shahadkot with head quarter at Kamber is
newly created district separated from district Larkana
on 2004. Total population 1256181, Total UC`s 40. At
present, this

OF DISTRICT HEAD QUARTER KAMBER
Telephone
Kamber
post office is an old building built 28 years ago.
Telephone facility was provided to the citizens since
1960 and telephone exchange has provided nearly 2000
connections however at present internet facility is also
available to the citizens.
Agriculture
The
main industry of the area is agricultural based, and
important crop is Rice. In cultivatable land, Rice, wheat, as
well vegetables are being grown.

Agricultural
Development Bank and other scheduled banks are present.
i.e. United bank, National Bank, Muslim Commercial Bank.
Census
According
to 1998 census, the population of Taluka Kamber was
268934 from which 26 percent are educated. The squire
Kilometer population is 119.

Education
In
Kamber district head quarter there is one boys college,
one girls college, seven boys high schools 11 mid boys
schools and 400 primary schools.

In
district head quarter there is Government Hospital and
number of health centers and dispensaries providing
health facilities to the people. Besides Veterinary
Hospital is also providing facility to the public,

Cattle present in the district.
Minerals
District
head quarter Kamber is rich in minerals, Oil, Gas and
iron. Huge quantity of natural Gas & Oil has
recently been discovered in UC Gaibi Dero.
